Job description

Parexel Early Phase Clinical Unit supports the development of innovative new medicines vital for public health, improving outcomes, and saving lives. The early phase and "first in human" trials are the first step in testing these novel treatments in humans.

At Parexel Glendale Unit the Nurse Manager will oversee our highly trained nurses involved in administering compounds via various routes (IV, IM, SC, PO, Topical, Inhalation, etc.) and monitoring volunteer health around the clock to ensure safety and wellbeing.

Your role:

As a Nurse Manager, you will lead the nursing team in all aspects of clinical trial processes at the Unit. You will collaborate with departments such as Pharmacy, Screening, Laboratory, Clinical, Recruitment, and Project Management in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rewarding environment.

Post-training responsibilities:

• Overseeing participant care and study procedures
• Upholding protocols, SOPs, and GCP standards to ensure compliance and efficiency
• Tracking training compliance and ensuring safety and protocol adherence
• Ensuring participant safety and responding to health changes
• Overseeing nursing assessments, medication administration, and documentation
• Collaborating on dosing procedures and maintaining IP chain of custody
• Performing or assisting with clinical procedures and emergency responses
• Ensuring documentation and informed consent are properly handled
• Maintaining professional competencies and adhering to guidelines and policies
• Serving as the main shift contact for nursing staff and emergencies
• Flexibility in work schedule, including shifts, weekends, and on-call duties
