High Point Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee daily nursing operations and provide clinical and administrative leadership for 7 South, a 36-bed acute medical-surgical unit serving adults with a wide range of conditions, including general medical, respiratory, renal, cardiac, and oncology needs. The unit is committed to compassionate, patient-centered care and high-quality outcomes. The Nurse Manager is accountable for quality, service excellence, workplace experience, and financial performance. This leader will foster a patient-centered professional environment by applying the Theory of Human Caring, supporting the nursing process and staff development, and promoting collaborative team interactions that enhance patient care. Successful candidates will be highly motivated, skilled communicators who build strong relationships with their teams.
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, enrolled in a MSN or Master's in related field with a term limitation, from date of appointment, not to exceed two years, with demonstrated progression of fulfillment of educational requirements within that timeframe. Six years experience in nursing with two years in related healthcare management.
Registered Nurse licensure from the State of applicable state Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire for Adult Critical Care, Adult ED. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire for Network ED, Peds ED, PICU and NICU, and other areas per unit guidelines.
