Job summary

Valley Hospital is a 122-bed behavioral psychiatric hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. The Nurse Manager oversees the clinical nursing practice, directs all Nursing Services, and ensures coordinated patient care in line with hospital standards and mental health policies.

The role requires leadership, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. hours on weekdays, and participation in on-call rotations after hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for operations.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in Arizona (or eligible to receive/renew)
• Three years of nursing administration experience preferred
• Experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting with adults 18+ preferred
• Must pass medication administration exam before administering medications; CPR certification upon hire
• Completion of SAMA training including restraint and seclusion policies within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in restraining procedures

Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30p.m. This leadership position requires participation in the Nursing Leadership on-call rotation and availability outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as operations needs require.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the clinical practice of nursing which includes directing all services provided by the Nursing Services Department. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives

Qualifications

Nurse Manager Requirements:

• Current license to practice nursing in the state of Arizona (or eligible to receive or renew).
