Job summary

Peachford Hospital in the Atlanta area is seeking a Nurse Manager (RN) for the Inpatient Psych unit. This full-time day shift leadership role focuses on maintaining a therapeutic milieu, ensuring patient and staff safety, and coordinating care with Clinical Services and other departments.

The Nurse Manager will supervise nursing and support staff, deliver high-quality nursing care, and drive treatment goals within the unit.

Qualifications

• RN experience in behavioral health/substance abuse/psychiatric settings preferred.
• Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Georgia in good standing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred for this leadership role.
• Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervising RNs, LPNs, MHTs, and ancillary staff by assigning tasks and monitoring patient care.
• Providing quality nursing care to meet identified patient outcomes.
• Carrying out functions according to hospital philosophy, goals and unit objectives.
• Contributing as an active part of the treatment team.
• Providing redirection and consistency in clinical operations.

Nurse Manager - Registered Nurse (RN) – Full-time, Day Shift

The Nurse Manager position is a managerial position accountable to the Chief Nursing Officer and has responsibility for ensuring the overall efficient operation of the department in various aspects including creating, maintaining and managing a therapeutic milieu within the treatment program to ensure the safety of patients and staff. Collaborates with Clinical Services and other departments to accomplish patient treatment goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Master's degree preferred.
• Four (4) years of experience as a RN. Experience in a behavioral health/substance abuse/psychiatric setting preferred.
• Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing certifications preferred.
• Positions of progressive responsibility including supervisory and/or administrative nursing roles preferred.
• Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Georgia in good standing.
• Ability to interact appropriately with all populations served and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and mastery of DSM-5 and biopsychosocial assessment preferred.
• Demonstrated competence to participate in interdisciplinary formulation of individual treatment plans; to give skilled nursing care; and to direct, monitor, and evaluate the nursing care furnished.
