This position ensures quality care through monitoring staff performance, physician contact, care planning, and daily resident observation. It also provides direct care to residents, adhering to nursing standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

In this role, the Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse will:

• Assist with routine daily direction and monitor the work of nursing assistants, ensuring high standards of care and task completion.
• Assist in orienting new LPNs/LVNs and nursing assistants, maintaining training standards for quality care.
• Explain nursing procedures and provide training to staff for ongoing understanding.
• Communicate regularly with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing about observations, concerns, and resident or staff activities.
• Observe and evaluate residents' health and emotional conditions, reporting significant changes and notifying physicians and families as needed.
• Provide direct patient care, including procedures like catheter care, colostomy care, suction, dressings, and naso-gastric tubes.
• Participate in shift reports to ensure proper communication about residents.
• Assist with admission, orientation, and observation of new residents, ensuring proper transcription and communication of physician orders.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Graduation from an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Current, in-good-standing license as an LPN/LVN in the state.
• At least one year of nursing experience.
• A commitment to professional nursing standards and principles.

Compensation Pay Range: $31.88 - $39.84
