Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Georgia seeks a Nurse Manager to lead the department, oversee daily operations, and develop staff while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing (Master’s preferred), at least three years of clinical leadership, and current nursing licensure. You will mentor staff, manage schedules, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s in Nursing preferred if Bachelor not in Nursing.
• Current State of Texas license to practice professional nursing required
• Certification in Basic Life Support required
• Professional certification in clinical area or management within one year of exam eligibility
• Three (3) or more years of experience in clinical area of practice
• Demonstrated leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Deploy departmental goals that support the mission, vision and values of the organization.
• Assist leadership with managerial responsibilities.
• Manage day-to-day unit operations and staffing decisions.
• Coordinate care between units, nurses and providers; develop staff schedules.
• Provide care in emergencies and assist with patient care as needed.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to staff and patients.
• Participate in quality improvement and PI projects.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and budgetary constraints.
• Support staff development and precept new personnel.
• Foster effective intra/interdepartmental communication.
