Job summary

MacNeal Hospital, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Night Shift on telemetry to provide compassionate, evidence-based care and collaborate with physicians, care managers, social workers, and residents in a diverse community.

You will participate in governance and quality initiatives, maintain patient safety, ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, and mentor staff while pursuing ongoing education and specialty certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• 3-5 years of previous RN experience; 5-7 years of previous RN experience preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Illinois
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• Specialty certification in a clinical or functional area of nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize the organization's mission and model of care.
• Develop, implement and evaluate annual department goals aligned with strategic plans.
• Ensure staff participation in quality improvement activities and evidence-based practice.
• Review unit polices to ensure regulatory compliance and evidence-based practice.
• Communicate current nursing standards reflecting patient populations.
• Participate in unit quality indicators and evidence-based projects.
• Establish unit-based research or quality improvement projects.
• Utilize the patient safety system and lead initiatives to improve quality and safety.
• Demonstrate improvement in patient care quality through interdisciplinary committees.
