Job summary

Private Medical in San Francisco is seeking an experienced RN Manager to lead our nursing team at the Laurel Heights location, with relocation planned to Presidio area in 2027. This role emphasizes relationship-centered care, clinical excellence, and thoughtful practice improvements.

You will build and mentor a team of RNs, MAs, and CPTs, partner with physicians, and shape nursing operations within a growing physician-led organization. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license, current BLS, and valid CA driver’s license.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience leading large teams.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience with leadership responsibilities.
• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Experience developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures.
• Strong understanding of patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory requirements.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong clinical leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensuring patient safety and adherence to best practices.
• Ensure consistent safety protocols, guidelines, and compliance across procedures.
• Oversee nursing specialties and collaborate with medical leadership on goals.
• Develop, implement, and maintain clinical policies and protocols.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluation and development of nursing staff.
• Optimize staffing models and resource allocation across locations.
• Use data to monitor KPIs, trends, and outcomes to drive improvements.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and implement evidence-based practices.
• Foster collaboration among nursing, physicians, and administrative teams.
