Job summary

You will oversee daily operations, staffing, payroll, and scheduling to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, patient- and family-centered care aligned with the hospital's strategic goals. The role requires BSN, CT RN license, BLS, and at least 2 years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Incumbents as of March 1, 2024 must obtain BSN within 3 years.
• Experience: 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Licensure/Registration: Registered Nurse in CT; BLS provider credentialed by the American Heart Association.
• Other certifications may be required by specialty.
• Knowledge, Skills and Ability: nursing and healthcare administration; leadership; effective workforce utilization; strong communication; LEAN process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care, clinical personnel, and unit operations.
• Oversee daily operations including supervision of nursing and non-licensed staff.
• Manage resources, payroll, and colleague scheduling; monitor patient throughput.
• Provide safe, therapeutic environment; assist as needed as staff RN.
• Participate in Performance Improvement projects; lead initiatives in assigned area.
