Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) for the Intermediate Care / Stepdown unit in Chicago, IL. This full-time Night shift position oversees daily operations, staffing, and regulatory compliance while delivering direct patient care when needed.

The role requires an active RN license, BSN preferred, and BLS/ACLS certification on hire. A sign-on bonus is available, and compensation ranges from $36.75 to $55.70 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily nursing operations and supervise clinical staff.
• Ensure quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource utilization.
• Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Drive quality improvement and operational excellence.
• Serve as unit leader in the absence of leadership.
• Provide direct patient care within RN scope as needed.
