Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) for the Intermediate Care / Stepdown unit. This full-time night-shift role leads daily nursing operations, oversees staffing, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides direct patient care when needed.

A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. The role requires an active RN license, BSN preferred, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily nursing operations and supervise clinical staff.
• Ensure quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource utilization.
• Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Drive quality improvement and operational excellence.
• Serve as unit leader in the absence of Director or Nurse Manager.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within RN scope of practice.
