Labor & Delivery Night Full-Time Registered Nurse

Mercy San Juan’s Family Birth Place is a level 3 facility within the greater Sacramento Dignity Hospitals. Our Family Birth Center is Joint Commission Certified for Perinatal Care and follows the 10 steps to successful breastfeeding. The center includes a 12-bed labor unit, 2 ORs, a 14-bed private postpartum unit, a PACU, and 2 triage bays. We handle an average of 100-120 deliveries per month, supported by 8 Nurse Shift Managers, a Perinatal Safety Nurse, and a Perinatal Nurse Educator.

The nurse provides and supervises holistic care to individuals and families, using the nursing process for critical thinking and problem solving, ensuring effective, safe, and confidential care from admission to discharge. Responsibilities include collaborating with the healthcare team, providing leadership, and maintaining professional conduct.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Fetal monitoring experience required
• Current CA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS & NRP certification from the American Heart Association
• NCC fetal monitoring certification or completion of an Advanced Fetal Monitoring course within 12 months of hire
• Cesarean Section experience preferred

Pay Range

$67.57 - $82.06 per hour
