Job summary

ProHealth Care is seeking a Nurse Intern to support the nursing team in caring for patients’ personal needs, safety, and comfort. You will assist with hygiene, dressing, mobility, and daily activities under RN supervision.

You may help with bed linens, transportation to tests, meal nourishment, and vital signs documentation as part of orientation and training. This role emphasizes compassionate patient care and teamwork in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Be a nursing student having completed a minimum of one - 16 hour clinical rotation in an RN program.
• Be currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing.
• Current employees must have an overall highly valued rating on their last performance review.
• Be available for New Employee Welcome (NEW) and participate in Clinical team Orientation (CTO).
• Must have a strong interest in customer service, able to multi task, work independently with little supervision.
• Passionate about providing excellent patient care and able to demonstrate compassion at the end of life.
• BLS CPR certification at time of hire, or ability to obtain during orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing, walking.
• Changes bed linens and assists with patient transportation to tests and procedures.
• Record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse.
• Serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment.
