Department: Department of Health and Human Services

This position is located at Ute Mountain Ute Health Center in Towaoc, CO. The incumbent manages the Infection Control and Employee Health programs to promote patient and employee safety, support quality care, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Conducts surveillance, risk assessments, and analyzes infection data. Provides staff education on infection prevention and employee health. Collaborates with staff and leadership to improve patient safety and quality.

Manages employee health programs, including immunizations and exposure follow-up. IHS Selectees that will work in an IHS health care facility may be subject to Employee Health Policies related to Measles and Rubella, and seasonal influenza immunizations. Vaccine exemption requests may be available according to the National and/or Service Unit guidance.

This position has an education requirement. You are strongly encouraged to submit a copy of your transcripts or a list of your courses including titles, credit hours completed, and grades.
