Job summary

Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael, California is seeking a full-time night ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in an 11-bed general medical/surgical ICU. You will perform comprehensive assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to drive optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires one year in an acute care CCU, an active California RN license, BLS, and ACLS. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

  • One year as an RN in an acute care critical care unit.
  • Active RN license in California.
  • BLS certification - American Heart Association.
  • ACLS certification - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Performs total body and system assessment each shift according to unit standards.
  • Planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.
  • Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols and interventions specific to the unit.
  • Documentation per policies; competent with the computerized system.
  • Accepts responsibility and cooperates with direction from leadership.
  • Participates in orientation of new staff and mentors students.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our full time night ICU Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise in our 11-bed general medical / surgical ICU to treat Mercy San Juan's sepsis patients and provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

  • Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.
  • Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.
  • Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to the assigned unit.
  • Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
  • Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.
  • Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as a resource to staff from other nursing departments.

We are offering a $15,000 sign-on bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements
