Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Louisiana is seeking a Nursing Unit Supervisor to ensure appropriate staffing on all nursing units and to supervise clinical and administrative hospital activities in the absence of Administration and Nursing Directors/Managers.

You will oversee staffing across shifts, facilitate patient placement, and serve as the hospital spokesperson when needed. Requires RN licensure, an Associate's degree, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• RN license in state of employment or compact recognized.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide staffing on all nursing units across shifts.
• Act as hospital administrative representative in absence of leadership.
• Coordinate patient placement/transfer and staffing to meet needs.
• Monitor compliance with policies and regulations for staff and patients.
• Investigate incidents, communicate with administration, and resolve issues.
• Approve or adjust KRONOS scheduling to reflect staffing plans.
• Collaborate with region staffing and house supervisors to utilize PRN pool.
