Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking a Nurse House Supervisor to lead overnight operations, oversee staffing and patient care, and coordinate with hospital leadership to ensure safe, efficient patient flow.

The role requires an RN in Tennessee, an Associate's Degree or RN Diploma, 5 years of clinical experience, and a current BLS certification. ACLS is preferred and the hospital offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Tennessee or compact state is required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma is required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 5 years of clinical experience is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent the hospital as a key leader and coordinate issues for problem solving.
• Supervise nursing care and verify patient conditions by rounding on all units.
• Communicate with nursing managers/directors on unit issues.
• Coordinate with Administrator on Call for critical situations.
• Work with Bed Management to ensure appropriate admissions and patient placement.
• Facilitate transfer/admission flows from clinical locations to the hospital.
• Assist with managing patient flow to reduce delays and issues.
• Serve as a resource for staff and providers for operational needs.
• Oversee overnight staffing for the hospital.
• Liaise for per diem agency staffing.
• Support the facility's Standards of Performance and ICARE values.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Nursing Administrative Supervisor is responsible for staffing, patient care oversight, emergency direction, and handling complaints appropriately. This role functions as the administrative resource and expert clinician. The Supervisor provides operational and administrative oversight to all departments during off hours and weekends. The Administrative Supervisor problem solves and evaluates nursing care provided on the units and assign personnel accordingly.

What You Will Do In This Role

• Represent the hospital as a key leader and coordinates issues to appropriate level for problem solving
• Supervise nursing care and ascertain the condition of patients by rounding on all nursing units.
• Communicate with nursing Managers/Directors concerning issues on the individual unit(s).
• Communicate with the Administrator on Call regarding situations of critical importance.
• Work collaboratively with Bed Management to ensure appropriate admissions and with Directors/Managers for the proper placement of patients on the units.
• Facilitate the flow of clinical information for the transfer/admission of patients from clinical, hospitals, emergency departments and other external locations.
• Assist with managing patient flow to eliminate delays and decrease potential issues.
• Serve as a resource for staff and providers for all operational needs.
• Maintain responsibility for the oversight of staffing for the hospital during overnight hours.
• Serve as liaison for per diem agency staffing.
• Support the facility's Standards of Performance and ICARE values.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 5 years of clinical experience required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
