Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Nurse for the Float Pool Fellow - Weekender program. The role is full-time at 0.9 FTE, totaling 36 hours per week with varied days and shifts. Eligible for the Student Loan Repayment program and a relocation package to support you joining our team.

The position focuses on developing nursing competency for new graduates, enabling a smooth transition to Staff Nurse while working in diverse care settings and collaborating with a regional academic health network.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or a compact state license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an AHA-endorsed program.

Responsibilities

• Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of a designated group of patients.
• Support the Float Pool Fellow program to develop competency in nursing for a transition to Staff Nurse.
