Position Summary

The role of the Nurse reports to the Clinic Manager in partnership with the Clinic Physician. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting physicians with procedures, and supporting front office duties as needed.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  1. Obtain patient vitals and update medical history, inputting data into the electronic medical records system.
  2. Prepare patients for procedures or examinations and assist physicians as needed.
  3. Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax, or phone communication, as appropriate.
  4. Provide guidance and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician.
  5. Assist patients by providing support and advocacy, as needed.
  6. Schedule surgeries and diagnostic tests, providing patients with scheduled dates.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Licensure and Certifications: Valid nurse license and CPR certification are required.
  • Experience: Previous clinic experience preferred.

Work Environment: This position involves 80% standing/walking, with the ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs. The remaining 20% involves sitting in a standard office setting.
