Job summary

Role emphasizes teamwork within the ANII program, delegation readiness, and safe patient handling. Enrollment in an accredited nursing program is required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a nursing program.
• Enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
• Successful completion of a Medical Surgical Clinical.
• Successful completion of a Pharmacological Concepts course.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, completes activities of daily living and vital sign monitoring.
• Collaborates with RN to establish plan of care based on health needs and patient/family preferences.
• Under RN supervision, communicates observations and patient needs to RN.
• Develops delegation skills for Health Unit Coordinators and nursing staff.
• Administers medication as delegated by the RN; proficiency assessed prior to administration.
• Manages patient load and applies time management during shift.
• Collects and synthesizes patient data to identify needs and status.
• Participates in emergencies under RN supervision with demonstrated skills.
• Performs patient positioning and transportation with safe techniques.
• Provide age-appropriate care considering growth and development across lifespan.
