Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a NICU Nurse Extern for a variable shift PRN role. You will perform technical procedures under the direction of an RN/Nurse Manager and support basic nursing assistant tasks.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, enrollment in an Accredited Nursing program with completion within 12 months, at least 1 year of related experience, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in Accredited Nursing program with expected completion within 12 months from hire date.
• One year of previous job-related experience.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: completion of an approved nursing assistant course.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical procedures as authorized under the direction of an RN and/or Nurse Manager.
• Also perform basic nursing assistant responsibilities.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
