Job Title: Nurse Extern I

Position Summary: The Nurse Extern I (NE I) is part of the patient care services team, responsible for technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities. The NE I works under the supervision of a registered nurse, who delegates tasks based on patient needs and NE I skills. All deviations from expected patient parameters must be reported to the RN. Tasks may vary depending on the unit and patient population. Students hired as Nurse Extern I will perform duties similar to a patient care tech or equivalent role.

Qualifications:

• Completion of the Fundamentals of Nursing course through an accredited nursing school.
• Successfully passing all courses to remain in the program.
