HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking a Nurse Extern (Med Surg) for Galen Students as a PRN opportunity. You will work with the nursing team to gain hands-on experience while exploring the RN role and providing patient-centered care.

Under the supervision of an RN, you will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and help with basic procedures, while learning through structured opportunities to advance your nursing skills.

Competenze

• Enrolled in an accredited nursing program and in good standing.
• Has completed at least 1 year of nursing coursework.
• Under supervision of a registered nurse, perform delegated basic patient care.

Mansioni

• Assist with activities of daily living and patient comfort.
• Support nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care and specimen collection.
• Document care and communicate updates to the RN team.
• Explain care plans to patients and families and provide guidance.
• Maintain clean, safe patient areas and infection control practices.
• Engage in learning opportunities and develop a personal career plan with a supervisor.
