Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a PRN Nursing Assistant to support the nursing team in patient care on the 8th Floor (FMC). The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, and transportation of patients under supervision.

The position requires enrollment in an ADN or BSN program (first semester completed or in progress) and a current AHA BLS certification. This role is hourly and part of the MUSC Health system.

Qualifications

• Completion of first semester of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN or BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing team with patient care activities and related services for personal needs, comfort and safety.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing and mobility.
• Record temperature or vital signs under nurse direction.
• Transport patients to tests and procedures and help with meal services as needed.
