Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program with good academic standing.
• Maintain a GPA of 2.5 on a weighted 4.0 scale throughout enrollment.
• Foundational nursing coursework completed prior to onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and assists with basic personal care.
• Assists with mobility, transfers, and use of assistive devices under RN direction.
• Records routine vital signs and reports abnormalities to the RN.
• Assists with nutrition, meal setup, and monitoring diet tolerance per orders.
• Maintains clean, safe patient environment per infection control standards.
• Observes changes in patient condition and communicates findings to the RN.
• Reinforces patient and family education and unit routines as directed.
• Performs clerical tasks and supports communication flow on the unit.
• Manages patient-care supplies and equipment, stocking and cleaning as needed.
• Performs competency-validated skills (e.g., 12-lead ECG, venipuncture) under RN supervision

Education

High school diploma or GED
