Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a PRN Nursing Assistant to join the MedSurg team in Florence, AL. You will assist the nursing staff with patient care activities, promote comfort, and help ensure safety during shifts.

Requires enrollment in an accredited ADN/BSN program and current AHA BLS certification; prior clinical exposure is preferred. This role supports a fast-paced environment and provides flexible, hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Completion of first semester of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• AHA BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing team with patient care activities to support personal needs, comfort, and safety.
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and transportation to tests and procedures.
• Assist with serving food trays and between-meal nourishments.
• Record temperature or vital signs under supervision of a nurse.
