Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC is seeking a Nurse Extern who is currently enrolled in an approved nursing program. The extern will work under the supervision of a registered nurse in an acute care hospital, gaining hands-on clinical experience while supporting the healthcare team across multiple inpatient units.

The role emphasizes safe, high-quality patient care, infection control awareness, and professional patient/family communication.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in a state-approved practical nursing program (LPN) or an accredited BSN program.
• Completion of fundamentals of nursing course with clinical practicum is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist RN in delivering patient care per nursing process and unit standards.
• Perform basic nursing tasks: vitals, bathing, feeding, ambulation, hygiene under RN supervision.
• Document findings and care per policy and RN oversight.
• Communicate effectively with RN and care team about patient needs and observations.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient care environment and support department workflows.
