Mission Hospital is seeking a Nurse Extern (PRN) to join its nursing team and gain hands-on experience as you progress through your nursing program. You will help deliver safe, compassionate care while developing the skills and confidence to take on more advanced responsibilities.

You will work under supervision, providing essential support to patients, learning through practice, and contributing to patient wellbeing in a dynamic hospital setting in Asheville, North Carolina.

Qualificações

• Must obtain Basic Life Support within 30 days of start.
• Enrolled in a nursing program accredited under 21 NCAC (b)(1).
• NC (CNA) Certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, support mobility, and ensure comfort and hygiene.
• Perform basic nursing tasks as you gain experience (wound care, catheter care, specimens).
• Document care accurately and communicate updates to the nursing team.
• Explain care plans to patients and families.
• Maintain clean, safe patient areas following infection prevention.
• Engage in learning opportunities and develop your career plan with your supervisor.
