Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) in New York’s Southern Tier is seeking a Nurse Educator (RN) to lead educational programs that promote clinical excellence, professional growth, and quality patient care. The role serves as a mentor, coach, and resource for nursing staff, supporting a highly skilled and engaged workforce.

The educator will develop and deliver programs, mentor staff, onboard new employees, and support competency validation.

About This Role

The Nurse Educator (RN) is a dynamic nursing leader responsible for developing and delivering educational programs that promote clinical excellence, professional growth, and quality patient care. This role serves as a mentor, coach, and resource for nursing staff while supporting the development of a highly skilled and engaged workforce.

• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

What You’ll Do

• Develop and deliver educational programs for nursing staff.
• Mentor and coach nursing staff to promote professional growth.
• Facilitate orientation and onboarding for new employees.
• Support competency validation and credentialing requirements.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify educational needs.
• Design, implement, and evaluate an Internal MOA Training Program.
• Establish educational standards and onboarding processes.
• Create learning experiences that support employee success.
• Foster continuous learning through collaboration and evidence-based education.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or related field required
• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred

Experience:

• Three (3) years Nursing Practice experience in a clinical setting required
• Previous teaching experience preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current New York State Registered Nurse License: required
• CPR certification: within 3 months of hire required
• Professional nursing certification in Professional Development: preferred
• Professional certification in another nursing area: preferred
