What You Will Do:



The Nurse Educator for Patient Care Tech (PCT) Residency is responsible for curriculum development, organizing, implementing and evaluating educational programs for our PCTs at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Bayview Medical Center. In addition to teaching didactic and experiential courses, the Nurse Educator serves as a professional development coach and educational advisor through 1:1 meetings and rounding on clinical units where the PCTs and other nursing support technicians practice. The Nurse Educator applies nursing, adult learning and other theories as appropriate to support the learning and development needs of Johns Hopkins' nursing support/patient care technicians.

Who Should Apply:




  • Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing; coursework in curriculum development, evaluation, or adult education is preferred.

  • 5 years of nursing experience. Minimum of three years of nursing experience in an acute care setting (ICU desired).

  • Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maryland

  • Active BLS CPR certification

Salary Range: Minimum 46.57/hour - Maximum 72.18/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.



In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
