Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Nurse Educator to lead unit-based education, support staff development, and promote high-quality, patient-centered care on Observation Units. This full-time, day-shift role integrates with Magnet journey initiatives and clinical leadership.

The Nurse Educator serves as a resource for orientation, competency validation, and ongoing learning for critical care teams, while providing direct patient care as needed and collaborating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license.
• BSN with nursing degree required.
• Minimum 3 years RN experience.
• Professional certification in a clinical or education specialty.
• Professional organization membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead unit-based education and staff development.
• Promote evidence-based practice and patient safety.

Requirements:

• Active Georgia RN license
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum 3 years RN experience
• Professional certification in a clinical or education specialty
• Professional organization membership.

Preferred:

• NPD-BC certification
• Master's Degree
• Previous educator or staff development experience
