The Nurse Educator, a registered nurse, is responsible for delivering nursing education, including orientation, ongoing training, and support. The role requires assessing educational needs, planning, and executing relevant programs.

Responsibilities:

• Build relationships and foster teamwork through mentoring and positive communication. Use various media to engage and educate staff effectively.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, utilizing research and evidence-based practices to enhance clinical care.
• Mentor new staff and preceptors, serve as a resource in clinical specialties, and participate in performance improvement projects.
• Facilitate orientation and ongoing education, develop standards and policies, and promote patient education.
• Lead hospital-wide projects, handle complex assignments, and innovate problem-solving strategies.
• Verify staff competencies, plan and implement training to address knowledge or skill gaps.
