Universal Health Services is looking for a Clinical Educator & Infection Control Nurse in Orlando, Florida. This full-time position requires a current Florida nursing license and entails providing focused orientation and support to nursing staff.

Responsibilities include assessing clinical staff education needs, leading nursing care delivery, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. The role demands effective communication and critical thinking skills, as well as a commitment to patient-focused nursing care.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5-65yrs+.
• 12-hour shifts; day or night shift available; rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess the education needs of clinical staff.
• Provide leadership to the nursing staff in the nursing care delivery system.
• Provide infection control orientation for hospital staff.
• Monitor infection control procedures according to hospital policies.
• Identify occurrences of outbreaks or clusters of infectious diseases.

Skills

Proficiency in medical terminology

Experience with behavioral health patients

Knowledge of patient care principles for adult psychiatric patients

Experience working with children in a psychiatric setting

Competence in taking vital signs accurately

Strong communication skills

Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills

Education

Current license to practice nursing in the State of Florida

Current CPR or BLS certification
