Southern NH Medical Center invites applications for an RN Clinical Teacher on the Heart & Vascular Unit. You will partner with the Unit Director to identify educational needs, design evidence-based teaching, and drive staff development in a patient-centered Cardiac Catheterization environment.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (MSN preferred), NH RN licensure, and at least two years of progressive clinical experience in the specialty.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• MSN preferred.
• Current New Hampshire licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
• Specialty certification preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years progressive clinical experience in specialty area required.
• Competencies to be achieved within 90 days: unit-based competencies, assessment and evaluation strategies, class development, use of teaching technologies, delivery of constructive feedback, timely recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Identify educational needs for staff on assigned unit and implement and evaluate teaching strategies to meet identified gaps in knowledge and skills.
• Serve as a consultant and clinical expert for the patient population of the assigned unit to foster staff competence.
• Act as a transformational leader to facilitate change and promote teamwork and collaboration.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Development Department.
• Communicate effectively with employees, patients and other healthcare disciplines to promote a positive work environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of information related to departmental flow and patient events.
