Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in New Jersey with 3-5 years of experience in specialty.

Nurse Educator Emergency Department

Clinical Educat-Nsg Research

While demonstrating exceptional customer service and communication skills, the Nurse Educator identifies educational and training needs for the staff. Plans, implements and evaluates orientation, continuing education and in-service programs to meet those needs. Develops and maintains records, serves as a resource person for education and promotes education in the Nursing Division.

The Nurse Educator Emergency Department will:

1. Plan and design educational programs in accordance with the requirements of the N.J. Board of Nursing, current regulatory guidelines, the Code of Ethics and institutional guidelines.
2. Implement educational activities/programs.
3. Evaluate educational activities/programs.
4. Maintain skill and knowledge of current health practices.
5. Be a team player and take on other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

1. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
2. BSN Required, MSN strongly preferred.
3. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in specialty preferred.
4. At least two (2) years of experience in Educator role preferred.
5. BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
6. ACLS/PALS/NRP at specialty level.
