Join Our Team as a Nurse Educator at UPMC Hamot!

Are you a passionate and experienced nurse looking to advance your career? As a Nurse Educator, you will have the opportunity to impact the quality of patient care by mentoring, educating, and supporting nursing staff across various units within our hospital.

Position: Nurse Educator
Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, primarily day shift, with some flexibility to meet educational requirements. Usually no weekends, but occasional weekend support for classes may be needed.

Candidates will be considered at the Nurse Educator level, which requires:

  • BSN (or MSN if obtained in a program not conferring BSNs)
  • 3 years clinical experience
  • Relevant teaching experience

Depending on education, experience, and leadership discretion, consideration may be given to levels such as Clinical Education Specialist, which requires:

  • MSN or Master’s in a related field (BSN required if Master’s is in a related field)
  • 3 years clinical experience
  • Relevant teaching experience
  • UPMC-approved certification preferred
