Job summary

Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX, is seeking an experienced nurse leader to plan, supervise, and evaluate nursing care 24/7 for designated units. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum and to maintain high standards with minimal supervision.

This role emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care, teamwork across clinical staff, and leadership in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must sit for NCLEX and obtain Texas RN licensure.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field.
• Texas RN License required upon hire.
• 3 years of professional nursing experience.
• 2 years of clinical experience in the designated area.
• TNCC/ENPC instructor preferred for Pediatric Trauma Manager.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and evaluate delivery of nursing care 24/7 for designated units.
• Work with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum.
• Provide minimal supervision while maintaining patient-focused, high-quality care.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field.
• Upon hire: Texas Registered Nurse License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: TNCC, ENPC - TNCC and ENPC Instructor preferred (for Manager, Pediatric Trauma Program only.)
• 3 years of Professional nursing experience.
• 2 yearsof Clinical experience in specific clinical area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Nursing Leadership and/or leadership certification.
• Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Admin., Business or related field.
• Upon hire: Specialty certification related to practice
• Upon hire: Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association
• 3 years of Supervisory/leadership experience.
