Summary of Job Duties: The Nurse Educator will assist and lead in health events and education, project management, development, and implementation of assigned tasks associated with healthcare-based grant-funded projects led by South Central Telehealth Resource Center (SCTRC), UAMS Institute for Digital Health and Innovation (IDHI) and BioVentures. The Nurse Educator will support activities associated with the Delta Maternal Outreach and Transformational Health Education Resource (Delta MOTHER) grant. Delta MOTHER focuses on improving health outcomes through education, training, outreach, and preventive health services by targeting social determinants of health like community context and healthcare access. Delta MOTHER is a collaboration between UAMS BioVentures, UAMS Institution for Digital Health & Innovation, UAMS Academic Pathways and Workforce Partnerships, and the South-Central Telehealth Resources Center to include its satellite sites with Jefferson School of Nursing and UAMS Regional Campus. The project will seek to increase the use of preventive health services among disadvantaged families, improve healthcare provider knowledge and confidence, and reduce health disparities by enhancing social and community support.
