Location: South Tampa and West Tampa Hospitals

Schedule: Onsite. Monday-Friday office hours.

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nurse Educator enhances practice and quality patient care by providing evidence-based educational programs for nursing, inter-professional, and non-licensed staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing, managing, and evaluating onboarding and orientation programs
• Providing orientation to promote retention
• Collaborating on program adjustments based on evaluations
• Managing competency development and assessment
• Designing educational activities to address practice gaps
• Promoting evidence-based practice and participating in research and quality improvement
• Fostering lifelong learning and skill mastery

Required and preferred qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred
• 2+ years in clinical education, academia, or leadership (preferred)
• Experience in acute care hospital (preferred)
• Current RN license in practice state or active compact license
• Nationally recognized specialty certification (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to travel up to 25%
