Job summary

Jersey College in Scranton, PA invites an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Nursing Program as an Instructor. You will provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute sites and foster Student growth and professional development.

This role requires a Master of Science in Nursing, a valid RN license, and at least three years of recent RN experience. Prior teaching is preferred but not required; the position includes collaboration with faculty and ongoing professional

• Creating a clinical environment that fosters students' academic growth and guides their professional development.
• Preparing student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintaining accurate and timely attendance records.
• Evaluating student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
• Implementing evaluation devices of student learning and clinical experience to measure progress and competency.
• Attending faculty meetings.
• Maintaining professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor through continuing education and courses.

Position:

Registered Nurse Instructor - Scranton PA - Intro to MS Workshop - Tuesday 7:00-8:00 AM, Intro to Med Surg Theory - Tuesday 8:00-10:30 AM, Intro to MS Workshop - Thursday 7:00-8:00 AM, Intro to Med Surg Theory - Thursday 8:00-10:30 AM — Total: 7 hours

Essential Functions:

• Providing clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Creating a clinical environment that fosters students academic growth and guides their professional development.
• Preparing student progress reports and grade reports
• Maintaining accurate and timely attendance records
• Evaluating student competence-based on program philosophy and objectives
• Implementing evaluation devices of student learning and clinical experience to measure progress and competency
• Attending faculty meetings
• Maintaining professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor through participation in continuing education programs, in-service training, and academic courses
• Perform other duties as required by the program director, program dean, or campus administration

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• MSN Required;
• Valid State RN License Required
