FAMILY HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT COMPANY in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Nurse Educator / Employee Health Nurse to educate nursing staff and promote employee wellness. This full-time on-site role develops educational programs, conducts orientations, and stays current with nursing practices and regulatory requirements to ensure high-quality patient care.

Ideal candidates hold an MS in Nursing Education, TX RN license, and at least two years in education roles; BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

  • MS in Nursing Education is required.
  • Texas RN license is required.
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
  • Minimum two years in an educator role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff to enhance clinical skills.
  • Assess training needs and design appropriate learning interventions.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new nursing staff to ensure organizational protocols are known.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and update curricula to meet evolving needs.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to nursing staff for performance and development.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate continuing education opportunities and workshops for staff to maintain licensure.
  • Maintain accurate records of educational activities and participation.
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings for employees, guiding on personal health and wellness.
  • Collaborate with occupational health services to manage employee health issues and safety.
  • Participate in development and implementation of employee health policies and procedures.
  • Provide infection control guidance and prevention measures within the organization.
  • Serve as a staff health resource and engage in research to improve education content.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess the training needs of employees and design appropriate learning interventions.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new nursing staff to ensure they are familiar with organizational protocols and procedures.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and modify them to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare environment.
