Job summary

Boro Park Center is seeking a Registered Nurse Educator to lead nursing and staff development programs in Brooklyn, NY. The role focuses on onboarding, annual competencies, infection prevention, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualified candidates hold an active NY RN license with at least three years in nursing education or clinical training within long-term care. CPR is required; instructor certification is a plus. This on-site position links with Centers Health Care’s quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of state and federal long-term care regulations.
• Experience with quality assurance, performance improvement and competency-based education.
• CPR certification required; instructor certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of infection prevention, employee health, workplace safety and emergency preparedness.
• Excellent communication, presentation, coaching and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
• Demonstrated commitment to staff development, resident care quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and deliver educational programs for nursing and support staff.
• Facilitate onboarding, orientation, annual competencies and ongoing in-service training.
• Promote infection prevention, safety, emergency preparedness, resident care and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, mentoring and educational support.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Maintain educational records, competency evaluations and training documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and implement training solutions.
• Review incidents and contribute to workplace safety and injury prevention.
• Support employee health initiatives, screenings, immunizations and return-to-work processes.
• Stay current with regulations and evidence-based practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
