POSITION SUMMARY
The Nurse Educator provides clinical staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader, and researcher. The role supports the development of bedside nurses and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence via evidence-based nursing practice. Responsibilities include assessing, developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating competency assessments, continuing education, and leadership development. As a professional role model, the Nurse Educator helps create a positive nursing climate within Trinity Health System to meet the needs of diverse units and the broader healthcare community. Physical activity requirements include the ability to move or lift at least 50 pounds. Travel may be necessary for collaboration across the care system.
