Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing and possession of a valid license from the state to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN).
• BSN preferred. One year direct patient care in long term care plus one year planning, implementing and evaluating education programs in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruiting and hiring of staff and process employment documentation.
• Plan, conduct and document in-service education for staff and maintain education records.
• Coordinate payroll and employee benefit programs and ensure confidentiality of information.
• Assist with supervision of staff and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Provide direct resident/patient care and participate in facility surveys and infection control surveillance.
