Responsibilities

• Assess learning needs, plan, implement, and evaluate programs for staff development.
• Analyze practice and standards to identify gaps and design educational initiatives to improve care.
• Identifies educational needs and coordinates unit-based educational activities.
• Facilitates staff competency assessment ongoing and annually (BLS renewal, clinical competencies, MOAB training).
• Document education activities meeting hospital policy and accreditation processes.
• Assist HR in recruitment and retention efforts for nursing.
• Apply leadership in all interpersonal relationships.
• Support hospital-wide activities.
• Maintain relationships with local schools of nursing; oversee shadowing, rotations and preceptorships.
• Participate in hospital committees.
• Coordinate, plan, and teach new employees through orientation program.
• Other duties as assigned
