Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Nurse Professional Development Specialist (RN Educator with an advanced nursing degree) to lead education initiatives, develop programs, and drive clinical teaching excellence. Qualifications

Graduate degree (Master's or greater) in Nursing or related field; if related, must have RN in nursing.
3+ years of current nursing experience in an acute care hospital.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and Google Suite).
Magnet Recognition Program knowledge.
Maintain competencies/certifications for facility accreditation or licensing.

Responsibilities

Partner for Practice Transitions: plan orientation; workforce planning; prepare staff for transitions; address gaps between academia and service.

Mentor: support lifelong learning; guide staff; coach professional growth and role transitions.
Leader: align activities with organizational goals; participate in committees; measure impact on patient outcomes.
Champion of Scientific Inquiry: engage in research/EBP; disseminate findings; implement performance improvement.
