Job summary

City of Hope Orange County in Irvine seeks a Nurse Manager of Education to lead nursing education across hospital and ambulatory settings, shape curricula, manage staff and budget, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with clinical leaders to promote evidence-based practice, advance staff development, and foster a culture of continuous learning that supports COH’s mission of lifesaving cancer care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing.
• 3–5 years of experience in nursing education with leadership.
• Current California Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association.
• National Certification must be acquired within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage the nursing education department, including staff, budget, and resources.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., joint commission and magnet).
• Develop and foster collaborative relationships with other departments to support safe, high-quality education.
• Assure regulatory standards are met and measure staff performance.
• Report quality metrics and develop corrective actions with the nursing director.
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate education programs for patients, families, and staff.
