Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Graduate of a nursing program approved by ACEN or CCNE.
• Current full, active, and unrestricted RN license in the U.S. or eligible state licensure.
• Foreign nursing graduates require degree equivalency validation.
• GNT exception allows temporary appointment while pursuing licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of nursing services using the nursing process.
• Administer prescribed therapies with nursing judgment.
• Promote discharge planning and follow-up care as needed.
• Involve patients and family in the plan of care; educate patients.
• Coordinate with VA facilities and partners to streamline care access.
• Maintain professional knowledge; act as clinical resource to staff.
