Naamans Creek Country Manor, a 90-bed skilled nursing facility, is seeking a Nurse Driver to join our team. The role combines non-emergency transportation with basic nursing support, delivering reliable, timely, and compassionate care during transit.

The successful candidate will perform driving duties and provide basic nursing assistance, ensuring patient safety and comfort while coordinating with healthcare facilities and homes.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

About the Role

The Driver/Nursing position is a unique and vital role that combines non-emergency, professional driving responsibilities with essential nursing support to ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of patients. The primary objective is to provide reliable, timely, and compassionate transport services for individuals requiring medical attention, while also delivering basic nursing care during transit. This role demands a high level of attentiveness to patient needs, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to respond effectively to medical situations that may arise en route. The successful candidate will act as both a caregiver and a driver, facilitating seamless coordination between healthcare facilities and patients' homes or other destinations. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to patient well-being by ensuring their safe passage and comfort throughout their journey.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate vehicles safely in various conditions.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent nursing credential.
• Basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification.
• Ability to lift and assist patients with mobility challenges safely.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in non-emergency medical transportation or patient transport services.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent nursing credential.
• Familiarity with medical equipment used during patient transport.
• Knowledge of local healthcare facilities and routes to optimize travel time.
