Job summary

UHS is seeking a Nurse Director to oversee nursing and clinical staff within the department, ensuring high-quality patient care and regulatory readiness. The role manages staffing, budgets, orientation, meetings, and policy adherence, with responsibility for performance improvement and variances.

Ideal candidate has RN licensure in Texas, 4 years RN experience, and 3-5 years of management experience, with BSN preferred. Travel and after-hours support may be required.

Qualifications

• 4 years of RN experience required.
• 3-5 years management experience required.
• Must adhere to the Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; report compliance issues.
• TX RN license or compact state license; BSN preferred with plan to obtain BSN if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing and clinical employees for the department.
• Maintain regulatory and accreditation readiness; manage staff schedules, payroll, orientation and meetings.
• Ensure budget compliance and monitor variances; lead performance improvement initiatives.
